Swift Rural Broadband
direct sessions from stakeholders who come straight to the site for projects, funding news and community resources.
Telecommunications. Solved: websites.
SWIFT subsidizes the construction of open-access high-speed networks, encouraging service providers to expand broadband into underserved rural areas.
Problem
SWIFT had a basic web presence that didn’t answer stakeholders’ questions. It was poorly designed and lacked credibility for an organization awarding projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Solution
We built a modern website for key stakeholders that showcases SWIFT’s activities and lists ongoing and completed projects. It’s visually rich, with interactive elements, embedded data visualization, GIS maps and resources for community partners. Funding announcements, blog posts and news reach subscribers by RSS.
Results
SWIFT is seen as transparent, accountable and proactive with stakeholders, and has full control over its own website content.
“Working with Hyperweb Communications was a smooth process. Their team was there every step of the way, working with us and guiding us with their valuable advice. Our website rebuild and launch was time sensitive and crucial to us. They met the deadline with time to spare.”
This started as a website problem. Here’s how we think about what a website should do.
